RE: NBR - Houston is mashing FSU
Houston really handled FSU. The score might make it seem like a close game, but Houston won in all aspects of the game. Houston is for real. More importantly, they're starting to separate themselves the same way schools like Utah did before them. This win is big, but, even more important is the level they're recruiting at, the coach and his staff sticking around, and the spiking interest in the program.
If Houston can continue at this rate for a few years, get stronger in basketball, and show the powers that be that it isn't just a passing fancy then they'll be in a power conference for sure. I sincerely hope they make it.

If that dark haired girl leaving the field with the Houston coach is his wife, he surely can indeed recruit well. BTW, the Houston OC is Major Applewhite, the guy Saban brought in for his first year at Bama when Jimbo Fisher decided to go with FSU's offer as "Coach in waiting". If the Big 12 wants to steal a good program (money & talent) from the AAC, Houston would be a good one.

The thing is that UT is *not* going to sit still for UH going into the Big 12. Where things go if they do move up will be very interesting to watch.

Perhaps the last chance in 2015 youhave to shoehorn a Saban reference into a thread that isn't about him.
Who am I kidding, there are still over 7 hours left in 2015.

Texas is fine with Houston. Actually their choice over OU's choice of Memphis. Other Texas schools will side with UT.

It is a Major Applewhite reference (as the OC at Houston), but since you have a Saban/ Bama fetish, your reaction is about as expected. The mere mention of either is enough to make those of similar bent to almost foam at the mouth no matter the actual content of the post.

No, he is reacting with appropriate disgust, considering the purpose of this board and the context of the past year (no, 30 years), to your fetish and your absolute cluelessness about why we recoil from many of your posts.

Yep. We hear enough about Tuscaloosa in this state without you throwing references on a UAB message board whenever you feel like it.

RE: NBR - Houston is mashing FSU
To be read as if said by Deputy Barney Fyffe: "Saban alarm!!! Saban alarm!!! He said Nick Saban's name while talking about Houston's coaches!!! Saban alarm!!!"
While I share the well deserved animosity towards the system BOT and their behavior toward UAB, I do not share the evident hatred toward all Crimson coaches and athletes as illustrated above. As far as I know, not one of these has ever made a single antiUAB Blazer statement. Our enemy is the system administration, not its pet coaches and athletes. Since we all want the UAB fan base to grow, we should not intentionally offend those who happen to have decades of attachment for Bama's teams and their coaches. In Alabama , that is a nonstarter.

Who cares! We all know Bamanblazer is gonna have some bama reference. But some people make it worse by blatantly pointing it out. It's a given!
But you make it worse by acknowledging it and dragging it out. YOU WANT HIM TO DO IT SO YOU CAN GRIPE ABOUT IT.
Just ignore it and move on. I treat it like a drinking game.
Take 1 drink if he mentions bama football.
Take 1 drink if he mentions Saban or Da' Bahr
Take 2 if he can get both in a topic
Take 3 if he can turn a thread on football into education
Take 3 if he can interject George Wallace
Chug 2 beers if he can get education, football, & politics all in one post.
He grew up a UA fan and became a UAB fan.

I'd be drunk by 8 am every day. I care, and several others care. People ask over and over for him to leave his bama stuff on bama boards, yet he continues to come here to post about it. The mention of Saban itself does not make me angry. Bbf bringing up Saban, the bear, whatever Alabama reference he can in any post does. We don't have enough posters on this board to ignore folks in my opinion.

Nick saban and alabama crimson tide have the best team in college football. They will win the national championship. How many programs are 1-0 vs the great Nick Saban? I know we are one of them.

Since when? Most Teasips I know would rather have a simultaneous root canal and barium enema than have Cougar High in their conference. Especially a resurgent UH that is recruiting extremely well under a young stud coach. I *went* to Houston. I doubt that things have changed all that much.
