They are a little better than last year when they lost 40-6 to Clemson! Maybe they should avoid Clemson/OU match ups in the future :-)

I think its safe to say this New Years Eve experiment is a flop, just not much excitement. This year is weird just because no one in the top 10 is really what you would call a great team. A lot of mediocrity even in that top 10. None of these top 4 would be in the playoffs in most years, just a down year for college football.

Clemson is an undefeated Power 5 champion. I'm pretty sure they would be fine any year. I don't like the NYE playoff games though.

Sure, but their conference sucks. It is just hard to take any team seriously this year, some of the worst college football Ive seen in awhile. I think there are just a lack of good QBs this year, that is probably where it starts.

I think the MAC was incredibly deep this year compared to year's past. Was really impressed with that conference, and I think WMU could be a top 25 preseason team next season. The days of NIU being the king are over, its a 6 to 8 team race it looks like for awhile
