No.
The offensive line just whipped the Oklahoma defensive line. OU offensive line vs. Clemson d line was even.
OU also made lots of mental errors. With Clemson's dominance on the offensive line, they didn't have as much room for errors as Clemson did. And Mayfield, who threw very few interceptions this year, threw two in the red zone (although one was just a great play by the Clemson player that saved a TD). He also took a stupid sack that gave Clemson their opening FG. And a stupid personal foul not long after that took OU out of FG range, forcing them to punt.
What a severe case of denial. If Clemson's D had been in possession of Vaseline they could have presented a reenactment of Broke Back Mountain!
I agree with this assessment, JRSEC. Clemson's offense wore down the OU defense...and the OU offense just didn't get enough touches overall. Add in a few mistakes and a "normal" amount of stalled drives against a good defense...and you have a recipe for a loss.
I think Clemson beats OU 3 out of 4 times.

I think the thing to remember as well. Clemson had what 5 redzone chances first half. Got 16 points in those 5 times. It could have been 31-17 real easily at halftime for Clemson.
