Damn. I know kids make mistakes but this is a costly one. Especially coming from your starting QB who you want to lead by example. There is the fine line of allowing these kids to enjoy the bowl game atmosphere and festivities but also keeping them in "lock down." Good thing TCU wasn't playing in the Playoff game.

Bram Kohlhausen and Foster Sawyer have both seen action at quarterback for TCU this season should Boykin not be available.

There's an argument that he should be dismissed by the team.

Gary Patterson is already set with TCU in many ways and doesn't have to win at all costs.

He's a senior whose already graduated, so suspended or kicked off the team will be the same thing. Either way he will never play at TCU again.

You can go ahead and give Oregon the Alamo Bowl trophy. TCU is now missing 11 starters, including the two players they couldn't afford to lose, star QB Trevone Boykin and star WR Josh Doctson.

Extremely disappointed in TB

A foolish choice and now you've lost your last chance to play for your school and have let down your teammates and all the fans that traveled to see TCU play.

Hopefully this is a wake up call so he doesn't squander the opportunities still in front of him because of poor life choices

His concern now is staying out of jail. Assaulting a cop is probably a 3rd degree felony.
Resisting arrest and disorderly probably misdemeanors.

You have to mentally play that situation out in your mind and how you react just like you do for game situations (or better yet, avoid being in those situations). So disappointed in him, but I'm sure it's not 1000th as much as he is disappointed in himself.

Should never have been in a bar at 2:00 AM in the morning, one day before the game.

That's really sad for him. You hate to see that much talent get thrown away.

Bad things happen in San Antonio at bowl games.

His worry no longer has anything to do with college ball. Now he should be worrying about what this could do to him and the potential to play pro ball.

Or not be in jail for a number of years. Swinging at a police officer is no bueno.

He could be playing starting QB for the Prison football team which is a sad situation.
