Facebook comment from one of our former "good" posters JLB
"Easy to catch them when your qb isn't throwing them 5 yards behind you or in the dirt. I'm not into conspiracy theories bit Paxton looked like he had a few Benjamin's on the game. Horrendous performance."

But, he was risking a lot more than a few Benjamins with that poor performance - a few million maybe.

Ugly accusation. Paxton is smarter than that.
Consider the source, move on.

Maybe we can all see why he is a "former" poster. With fans like that who needs them...

It's a shame to see a onetime good poster here put that out in public.

Agree.
He was spectacular in the SMU game, then clear, lay had a bad game today. A good defensive line helped with that, but it happened, some of his throws were abnormally off. Of course he would have had a first half TD had the AU kid not defensive held early and gotten away with it, and maybe that would have given him his swagger, but he never got it today, some of the balls even looked way off.
And, it means....he had a bad game after being off for a month, having his coach and mentor leave and having rushed time. Nothing more

The Auburn secondary is a heck of alot faster than SMU's. Lynch was very, very cautious with several of his throws, throwing away from the defender to the point of either forcing the receiver to come back and catch the ball for almost no gain, or throwing it to the turf outside of the receiver. This doesn't mean he isn't pro material, but it's a lot easier to look good against SMU than Auburn.

RE: Facebook comment from one of our former "good" posters JLB
Of course it is.
But not quite ready to place this 6-6 now 7-6 Auburn team up there with 1980s Miami. They had a national class defensive line and solid defense. Certainly better than SMU but SMU was not the only team he did well against.
A few too many simplistic conclusions like Auburn good therefor Lynch bad and vice versa. Overall. He was really good this year against all defenses. Not so much today but it is not an absolute
Memphis fans, more than most, see everything through the SEC prism. Beat the Bears, we are great. Lose to Auburn, and Lynch cannot perform against that caliber.
The reality is we had a good team. Which means we could beat anyone...and did, but not so good that we could not lose to other solid teams....and we did.

Something happened to that man (former poster). Was always highly opinionated but was a "friend" and considered a decent guy.
Then suddenly online anyone who disagreed he lashed out at and was overly negative. Finally had enough and called him out on it after he did it to me too on FB. I got cussed one last time and was deleted, which is fine as the hatred and negativity got too much to deal with. But I don't know what's caused the hatred in his heart these days.

I believe one of his sons had been told he could walk on, by Pastner.
Another guy got the walk on spot that JLB thought was going to his son.
He got mad.
Could be something else, but I think that's pretty much it.

I'm not sure what the Miami reference means, but let's also not pretend that, other than OM, we did really well against good teams this year. Things like size and speed are absolutes. I hope we'll turn the corner and begin to get the athletes that usually wind up at P5 schools, but you can't build a great program if you're depending on average players becoming superstars (it happens, as with Lynch, but is very rare) and consistently playing almost mistake free football. Still, it was, overall, a good season and we exceeded a lot of people's expectations.

He got mad Pastner over his son not getting a walk on spot. Anyone else in that position would feel the same way.

No they wouldn't. Most would be happy to just being considered.

The adults are talking. JLB needs to sit quietly at the children's table and wait his turn.
