I just thought USM had a team full of lightweights on defense and our boys put a good old fashioned asswhippin' on them. It made me think the USM fans were simply trolling the week before when they were going on and on about their strength and conditioning coach. That certainly was scratch your head material when player after player had to leave the game. Guess he didn't really do a good job of strengthening and conditioning the Eagles.

Bottom line. Our guys were just too big and too strong for an undersized USM defense. The results on the field pretty much screamed that. Hopefully the S&C guy hits our S&C guy up for tips.

We had 2 major injuries this year. Both were when Brandon hung a guy out on a high throw. It's how Leon Allen and Tyler Higbee both got hurt. Aside from those 2 I don't remember us losing guys to other teams hits. Country strong. That's us.

Not trying to get in the middle of this thread but I thought Allen was injured in our game when he was tackled from behind? In 2013 our QB Higgins hung Dixon out to dry on a short pass and it looked like his knee was destroyed but he only missed a few games. Anyway just curious if my memory is correct?

No. It was a bubble screen out to the right. Leon went up for it and as his leg was coming down your guy took his knee out. Not dirty. Just the way it happened. It was brutal looking. Not Theisman-esque but pretty nasty.

Higbee's was very similar but across the middle if I recall correctly.

I don't think they would have made enough of a difference against LSU. Maybe if we had both on a dry field we would have given them a better game. I honestly do believe we beat Indiana if Leon was healthy. It was the first game without him. Ace Wales was injured at the time. DeAndre Ferby got the start and was nowhere in the same zip code as Allen or Wales.

Leon Allen rushed for over 1500 yards his junior season and had over 500 yards receiving. Think he might have helped the offense?

Edit: It was to the QB's left the defense's right. It was coming towards me so I was seeing it to the right.

Thanks and I was wrong - still hate to watch plays like that and hated to see him get hurt. Good season and I guess you'll come back to Ruston next season.

I wasn't attacking TTU's fans. It appeared to WKU fans that USM players were doing the exact same thing as the LSU guys, thus the booing from some. If you are defending TTU fans then WKU fans who did the same thing should be ok to you as well.

This will be my last post on the subject. Sorry that I even brought it up in the first place.

Again, TTU should have been ecstatic that they were getting breathers and time to send in plays since they were getting their ass beat. LSU had no motive for faking injuries and it would be counterproductive to fake injuries. It is only flopping if it's a close game or the flopping team is losing badly. TTU fans are morons. Why on earth would anyone at LSU want to prolong a game they are dominating?

I thought the same thing. TTU fans must be bad people. I was at the WKU game and I thought they was flopping and it appeared so.....THEY WAS NOT ....... And I now know it after rewatching the game.. I'm truly sorry to the USM fans for the actions of some of the WKU fans. I truly don't think WKU fans would have booed a known hurt player (which is why you NEVER boo any down player!) I never booed and I wish the whole event could be undone. I don't get why the TTU fans was booing , I just don't

That LSU player Adams did take an intentionally dive. However he did it because he crapped in his pants03-lmfao The IV he had earlier must have tore his stomach up. Never trust a fart03-lmfao Below are the links to the incident. The trainer had a towel around Adam's backside covering up his rear end so he could leave the field.

I swear, once I saw the towel around his butt, and then him running straight off the field to the locker room, I thought to myself, did he just **** his pants???

Just like the Gators' Adam Lane in last year's B-Ham Bowl.

I wonder if that's a product of eating rich foods at the bowl banquets. I know of a lobster bisque that should come with a warning not to fart in public after consumption.

never lift or propel oneself after eating....the shart is bound to expose oneself at some point.....

every action has an equal and opposite ugly one is what I say 03-wink

that tummy thingy can put one in an inescapable houdini trap.....try leaving the office, peaking out head looking both ways, then ass to wall down the stairs, and finally sprinting out the front door as the sec asks, "what happened" 03-wink

Your team was the better team this year. Congrats on the win.

Thank you for the kind reply. My original post was mostly tongue in cheek. It just irked me the way some USM fans bashed our fanbase for something that occurs fairly often in the game of football. It was too tempting to post about it after watching it transpire during bowl season and to see the pretty much non-story that it was, just like it should have been in the conference title game.

Just curious... Did this happen with Texas Tech in the lead in the 4th quarter when they were milking the play clock before each snap. If so, then the announcers should have called them out on it.

If it happened over and over when Tech was trying to go hurry-up, then the booing is understandable. This happens lots of places in this scenario.
