He just said it wasn't quite as important to UNC to win the bowl game as it was for Baylor to win. I'm starting to wonder about Mack. That statement is a direct slap and insult to UNC coaching staff and players IMO and their competitive spirit and will to win.

Maybe it was a shot at Baylor after bowl losses in recent years? Maybe a 2-for-1 insult?

I disagree about it being intended as insult. It was just the way he was looking at it, which might not have been right, but might not have been wrong either.

From a North Carolina perspective, they very much want to win, but win or lose, the season was a success. Regardless of the result, things are trending in the right direction after being fairly weak several years.

From a Baylor perspective, a bit of desperation might have been creeping in. They won the Big 12 the last 2 years and in both opportunities to showcase themselves in big bowls they lost. They fell back a bit this year and ending by loosing another bowl game would felt like a major disappointment to what was hoped to be a very promising season.

Not sure that's how it actually was, but I can see how someone would come to the conclusion and it is a valid opinion.

I agree. Think it's no insult to UNC at all.. this was gravy for UNC.

It's more ok Baylor you've woofed big **** here last few years. you don't play anyone OOC at all. lost in the bowl games the last few years.
