RE: Basketball Conf record predictions
If Porter is that talented and works his butt off, he will get the minutes. He is a freshman and has to earn them. If he quits this fast into his Basketball career, then he is not the type of player I want on my team. He should have gone to a DIII school where he would be a big fish in a small pond.

If he was Johnny Manziel he would've been suspended 22 games for those tweets!

I'll go 9 wins in conference. With this comically weak schedule though it's hard to tell how good we really are at this point.

Although I'd like to see some of the freshmen get more minutes, it's a little early trying to leave due to minutes when still a freshman. Can't make everyone happy I guess.

RE: Basketball Conf record predictions
I would say I was surprised by the Porter thing but I'm not...

AAU basketball.

It's completely ruined the game, fundamentally and philosophically. I'm 33, it makes me sound like a curmudgeon to talk this way because AAU was fairly prevalent when I was balling in HS. The difference was it was hard to get on an AAU team and it kind meant you were a pretty good college type prospect. They also worked those kids, taught the game and had good coaches.

Now any idiot with a pair of Jordan's and a clipboard can start a team.

It's a joke...the reason all these damn kids are transferring is because they have been given the star/diva treatment since grade school when these idiots started recruiting them to their AAU squads.

college coaches are left trying to unwind the mess. It's a tough gig man. Social media makes it all worse.

We have a kid who plays on a AAU team at my school. He's is prototypically that entire paragraph. It's a shame, because he's got marginal talent, but his attitude is so bad.
