Chip Kelley fired by Philadelphia Eagles. I guess they don't like how he dismantled a pretty good team in short order. Good offensive coordinator material though.

Since moving to Philly eight years ago, I have come to understand the Philadelphia sports fan mentality. The people here are a blue collar, hard working lot for the most part...and they want to see those same qualities from their sports teams. Fans here will be disappointed in losses, just like any other fans. However, if the team plays hard and gives 110% effort in those losses, the fans are okay with that. If there is no effort in the losses, fans will come down hard on the team and the coaches. That's what happened to Chip Kelly...his team (the team he assembled as the coach/GM) quit playing hard and quit giving 110% effort on the field. Jeffery Lurie had no choice but to make a move. Going to be interesting to see who comes in next.

I think Chip is a really good HC, he just shouldn't be a GM.

I don't think he is an NFL head coach.

He totally lost his team and his former players all over the leauge are badmouthing him.

A lot of black players think he has race issues.

I think Chip thought he knew everything and that he was the only vital part of the team and the players were interchangeable.

If he was less arrogant he would have succeeded as a GM.

Lurie is known for having patience. He let Andy Reid stay for 14 years, and only gives Kelly 3? There has to be something we don't know.

I think its a lot of players speaking out against him.
