I'm honestly more excited about the future of UC football right now than basketball. At least I am pretty sure that CTT will be gone within the next year. I am afraid Mick might be just average enough to squeak another 10 or 15 years out.

It still can be. Basically this same roster was a top 15 defense last year. They have it in them to get better defensively. The defense the last month has been so anti-Mick Cronin era UC that I have to think they get it turned around. Meanwhile the offense has crept into the kenpom top 30... it's improvement has been everything we hoped for. Just never anticipated the defensive collapse.

Mick coached 1/3 to 1/2 the season and had them as a top 15 defense.
The year before Mick coached the entire season they finished 9th in adjusted defense.
The year before that they finished 14th in adjusted defense
The year before that they finished 22 in adjusted defense
The year before that they finished 14th in adjusted defense.

Right now they are 61st. One of these is not like the others.

I think it will be a breakdown year.
