I have another friend who works drug interdiction for a federal agency in a large city. He talks about so many houses they bust have people inside on disability. They spend their days, sitting in filth, playing video games and selling/using drugs while on the government teat. Its easy to pick out the houses getting home heating assistance in the old neighborhoods too. Why? Their roofs have no snow in the winter because they can afford to crank up the heat so high in the house.

Again, anecdotal, but enough to point out to me that the system is malleable, abusable and broken.

Gee lets see, I've had 3 bad whiplashes, Spinal stenosis, Carpal Tunneling, both hands,Entrapped Ulnar nerve in both elbows, bad ankles, sciatic nerve, restless leg and am 63 years old and still go to work every day at 5 am and do physical labor in Quality control for a major corporation. Guess Walmart would have been too hard of a job for Me. Or I'm just plain stupid when I could have been getting a free ride for life. But at least I can retire with dignity and have a good pension, 401k, and a decent Social Security payout as long as Obama doesn't screw up more this last year in office.

Funny there are a few FedEx executives who did this when I lived in Memphis. Unsure on the cell phone but certainly the rent and food stamps

13 is right on target. We went thought that when my wife got hurt. We got so much run around I told the insurance company to keep their money and we moved on.

Looks like a big headache to maintain all the lies. Seems easier to work imho.

Obama does a great job of it. Just heard today he's been saying only a handful of Gitmo prisoners have been released. Sec. of Defense says over 190 of the worst have been released.

According to the govmint they aren't abusing it. What's needed are tougher controls. Because if you think about it most of us would qualify and if we were dishonest and lacked morals we'd all be on disability.
