They've been pretty tight lipped, at least when I've poked around I haven't been able to get much. Most confirmation has been when other schools release their schedules. I do think it would be a great game / series.

Unless EKU and Coastal are playing Nov 5 it isn't happening as EKU's other open dates right now are 10 and 24 Sep.

I'm looking forward to September 3. Just look for my wife and me in two of the red seats just in front of the press box in the center section. Just hoping the weather cooperates and that the game is marketed correctly on our end. Having the Chanticleers come to town makes for a great season home opener for us.

I would be in favor of a trip to Brooks Stadium the following year even if it requires fewer home games on our end.

(We'd love to have a ton of visiting fans, but if it's not possible, all of our home games are broadcast on ESPN3.)

What's your point? If it is my question about FCS teams returning a game, the return game doesn't have to be in 2017. They could be spread out. JSU is supposedly going to return a game but the date year hasn't been set. My guess is we are setting up return games for the next 2-3 years by playing at the other teams in 2016.

We will play a SBC schedule starting in 2017. We play a series each with UAB and UMass in 2017/18. We play @UCLA in 2023. That's about all that has been released.

Thanks for that. I would suggest you check the title of the thread. The discussion was about our schedule for the coming year, for which we will still be an FCS program. But since you expressed your concern....

In 2017, we will play our Sun Belt foes in conference, and we will play UMass and UAB out of conference. Not sure yet who the last couple games will be, but I'm sure one of the last two spots will be an FCS.

Is that ok with you?

I just saw a post or two from posters that appeared to refer to multiple year FCS proposals. I'm not sure FBS programs traditionally do that.

We aren't an FBS team yet. In 2016 we are an FCS team playing other FCS teams. Some of those teams we will be visiting, like JSU, may end up playing us in future years when we are an FBS team.

I'd say 9-3 maybe even 10-2 Outside of Jacksonville State, Charleston Southern, and Liberty, the rest are not exactly FCS powers. And two of those are at home.

I would think 12-0 would be possible but being a transition year a lot of coaches play it soft (trying new things and setting players with even minor injury) and it's harder to motivate players so that's why I say 8 minimum.

I'd be surprised if they win all three of those just because it's hard to win every game but I think 1-2 is worst case probably 2-1. Trying to be humble about it lol.

Not sure, all I know is they didn't want us in the SoCon. I imagine if they have an opinion it is probably similar to the reaction as when GS and App moved to FBS.
