Well it's because to these lower tier conferences we are the power teams. A win over an AAC team is on par with a win over a Big 12 school to these schools.

what does that have to do with you guys being so giddy over playing the team with the 5th best overall record in the AAC? I mean, I was there, and it was great...stayed at the Belleair Beach Club, just across the bridge in Clearwater.

I wanted a better opponent, but this bowl was the best fit for fans and recruiting, and the storyline of playing the man who built our program was good press. It was fun, and a decent opponent. I don't think anyone was giddy over the athletic prowess of USF. Personal storylines, and for the good of the program, it was a good overall fit.

Most of the MAC does suck...Toledo was a Top 25 team much of the season though. Toledo didn't suck.

Im pretty sure that the MAC football conference champion lost to an AAC team.

Only the sunshine pumpers this this crud conf is good.
