WR Verbal
Rockets pick up verbal from once UVA commit Neru N'Shaka from FL. Offers from Wisky, Cuse, Nati, Pitt and others. Sounds like a solid commit.

RE: WR Verbal
Sounds good if it holds and the Rockets may need him because I believe I saw somewhere that Campbell is trying to lurk a 3 star WR UT commit from Michigan to join the new and improved Iowa State program.

Yes he did. That's when he received the offer from Syracuse a few days ago, but he still committed to Toledo instead.

He has his official visit to Toledo setup for 1/15.

Toledo over Syracuse is no biggy. Getting him from VA, if I was his parents I'd probably slap him but he's probably seeing playing time here and a good record at moving our WRs on to the next level.

A bit on the short side. What's his projection, a speedy slot?

The recruiter was at Illinois for a breath. Some connection to Beckman?

He's a Bernard Reedy type. Speedy and shifty receiver. Would expect him to be a slot receiver type of guy.

He didn't feel comfortable with Virginia anymore without the coaches he thought would be there, plus, I'm not sure that the new coach was still going to recruit him.

He also had offers from Cincy, Pitt, and a few other P5 schools.

RE: WR Verbal
Toledo sounds like a good match. Reading those recruit sites and who recruits them, specifically what person is doing the recruiting, seems like a pattern of connections. It show a "Derek Sage" recruited this kid for UT but also shows Sage to be at Wyoming. And the person who recruited him for VA was at Illinois. We had former coaches at both places didn't we? Same schools seem to "find" the same recruits for the most part, whether they be in the neighborhood or half a country away. Must be an interesting business, matching talents to schools.

Cuse fan here...I don't know enough to know how solid his commit is but congrats. Cuse is looking for WRs to run the Baylor offense

If you hear he is coming to visit Cuse then I'd worry...if not you snagged a potential great WR. I heard he is really fast.

Just tell them Babers could never beat Toledo.

RE: WR Verbal
Always room in the Rocket offense for a quick receiver. Now, let's pair him up with a replacement for Russell, someone like Landry who we had for a few seconds from the JUCO ranks...need a taller receiver who can more easily fight off defenders and be a target for passes high enough that only he can go up and get them.

Speaking of Landry...anyone know where he ended up?

I'm assuming he is 0-2 versus Toledo...not a large sample size there.

Finished up some JUCO work. I would assume he's looking for a school.

In a rivalry like BGSU's and Toledo's, 0-2 is an eternity.
