24-7 going to the 4th and they choke.
Just like the MACC versus NIU.

They blew their lead the same way they got the lead - turnovers. Very sloppy game.

RE: Bowl Results
Hopefully the rest of the MAC can win their bowls so our conference doesn't look like a complete embarrassment.

Might be interesting for the betters, but other than that, players don't care, coaches don't care, fans don't care about bowl results.

It's pretty much a complete embarrassment every bowl season. Since 2010 the MAC has 10 wins in 29 bowl games played.

Ohio really crapped the bed...Not saying I was super confident in them going in...but they had that game.

The games are less than meaningless

Your right MAC bowl games are meaningless, AAC bowl games vs P5 are much better for fans, coaches, and players.

They are all meaningless and that includes CMU vs Minnesota and all AAC bowl games too. And big 10 and sec and acc. Etc

This has nothing to do with on-field play, but the same Atlas Air 767 took Akron to Boise, NIU to San Diego and WMU to the Bahamas. I wonder if the MAC has a deal with them.

It is nice to have another win but it means nothing in terms of it being a postseason win. How can that have meaning when often the best matchups are given to teams that finished worst in the conference. I am just sick of this idea that everyone should bow to the importance of these games when likely coaches and players would rather be home too than play in these exhibition games. The system needs to be reformed in a hurry and designed in a way that will make players coaches and fans want to play and watch

Once again this is a MAC problem, not a system problem. Blame the MAC for the tie ins.

It's ridiculous to say the bowls have no meaning. NIU's win in the 2010 Humanitarian Bowl was huge for the program and for the players. Especially after the disaster in Detroit that year. I've always felt that game in Boise had a lot to do with establishing a winning tradition in the program going forward.

I will grant that the system needs reform. #1 - Expand the playoff, preferably to 16 teams, but at least to 8. #2 - Cut back on the number of bowls to where only teams with a winning record can get a bid.
