Yeah, but that game didn't count because Pastner had his fingers crossed or something.

just out of curiosity, what do you think of the state of the basketball program right now. Don't base your answer on "how we cannot repeat what Cal did his last few years here". I'm asking you what you think of the program right this minute on the court and the attendance issue......I'l wait to read your response

Got a laugh reading my buddy stammers who stated in that thread how Paz had a tougher sched than Cal. Keep the laughter coming, guys.

What is he doing back there? I never know what he's doing.

Calkins is not on any mission. He likes Josh better than he liked Cal or RC. Paper and radio guys tell the truth or give their opinion, and people think they care enough to have a mission.

It's called doing their job.
Geoff wrote multiple negative columns during the off season. I tweeted him and he answered me with don't you think he needs to go? Very objective and professional.

Why is it wrong if Geoff thinks he needs to go? The man is running our program into the ground, what is he supposed to write? He is being professional and telling the truth that so many want to bury their head on. He might be a great guy but an awful coach, pretty easy.

Geoff is not the daily Tiger hoops beat writer for the CA, that is Jason Smith.

Geoff is a journalist - it's his job to offer his viewpoint.

If he did ask you your opinion of whether Josh should stay, what is wrong with him asking you a question? You know, to get your opinion.

I just love how they keep bringing that one bad year in an otherwise 8 year run of Imorovement to make their agenda. And then don't realize what the deal was that year.

Yea, not just the one bad year - as I mentioned earlier that you ignored. But, okay. D-Wag's year, Burks' senior year. All disappointing setbacks.

Hey, no agenda here. We have to make a change at coach and 90% of us know it. Only thing I'm pointing out is that, contrary to some of the vitriol from people who do have agendas, we are not a historical top 10 program that will automatically spring back to success just by firing a coach.

Year 1 NIT final 4

Year 2 NIT champs

Year 3 NCAA

Year 4 NCAA round of 32

Year 5 slip up because of Banks and still were 2 free throw away from the NCAA

Improvement every year but year 5

My bad - I didn't get the rules for this thread. I didn't know you were settling for anything other than S16's as "improvement".

My memory was I was extremely disappointed with how the '02, '04 and '05 teams finished.

Then you should be miserable with 2010-2015, correct?

To me, NIT final four is same difference as teeth kicked in in round of 32 but to each their own.

If a team loses at home, and no one is there to see it, did it really occur?

Round of 32 is mucho > NIT anything. But, whatever. I'd say my disappointment was about the same for some of those years vs those early Cal years. Last year hit a whole new level though.
