The women beat Sam Houston State on the road by 12 points. Congratulations to Coach Langley and the women on their first win on the season.

We've had good basketball teams that lost at SHSU (including one in a women's postseason tournament several years ago). Winning this one might help our confidence in several other winnable games, so congrats.

Hawkins with a very nice game. A couple of freshmen played well too.

It's a start.
