hopefully, we get the w and both teams improve rpi over course of season.

RPI is irrelevant right now. We were at 230 a couple of weeks ago.

Now, if the RPI formulas would go ahead and reflect the SOS's of all opponents, whether a team has played them yet or not, RPI would tend to be much better at this point of year. A team gets credit in their own SOS for the opponents win-loss schedule, and their opponents opponents win-loss schedule, regardless if the team wins or not. So it shouldnt matter if a team has played another team on the schedule or not as far as the SOS component of the RPI.

Our RPI now is where its at because we have lost two home games. It doesnt matter to RPI that one was highly ranked Oklahoma. It was a home loss, which RPI considers very bad.
