I don't think they'd do a home and home in basketball with UTSA. A month into the season and they haven't played an away game yet.

Memphis has now scheduled football home and home games with ULM, Southern Alabama, Georgia State, and now UTSA. Why on earth they don't schedule games with USM or UAB is beyond me and many other Memphis fans. USM would draw a good 40,000 for a game in Memphis and a good crowd in Hattiesburg.

UTSA needs a new gym. SA is such a basketball mad town I can't believe it is not more successful

I'm a fan of an AD that schedules years out. 1 and 1 w/ Memphis is a good thing for everyone involved.

I'd love to start a pipeline in some of those D1 rich MS JUCOs. Hinds CC had something like 15 D1 athletes this year.

As for basketball, agree UTSA needs state of the art facilities starting with a new gym. Build it and they will come.

Much better game for UTSA than their usual OOC fare. Good get. Memphis has become a solid AAC program.

Memphis has never had any long term success in football. Not saying it can't happen, just that it has never happened.

this is Memphis' 7th bowl game since 2003...we were 1 bad hire (Larry Porter) away from that total being even higher.
