Comes off the bench for Houston. Leads the American Conference at 19 points per game.

Freshman PG Galen Robinson. Comes off the bench for Houston. Leads the American Conference with a 5:1 assist:turnover ratio.

This young backcourt has the potential to take the Cougars deep into March before they are done.

Houston is having a great season so far. I think its a little early to be thinking about March but if you can keep playing this way in February its a real possibility.

The potential is there. We are loaded at guard, but we need the bigs to step up and they have been mostly no-shows. Chicken Knowles, Meyers etc. have to be able to bring when conference season starts.

RE: Sophomore SG Rob "Ghost" Gray
Im just happy we now have the depth to play a full game. Last year we were so thin Sampson had to save time outs to use as breathers for his team late in games. Its amazing how many games were right there in the balance---and then we would get run in the last 10 minutes or so. We also have a little size this year, not a lot---we are still smaller than most---But at least we have a couple of actual centers on the team. Last year we didn't have a single player on the roster with a "C" by his name on the position chart. This should be a fun team to watch.

When we started the season, I figured we were probably a NIT type team at best, but the more I see them play, we might have NCAA bid upside if this group ever really jells on the defensive end of the court.

To be clear, I wasn't predicting a NCAA run this year. Rather, by the time Gray is a senior.

Agree. I don't think they are NCAA ready, Im just noting that this team has enough scoring to do it---if they could ever figure it out on the defensive end, they could feasibly become a real threat this year.

Weird. He doesn't show up in the conference stats page. Let your SID know.

I wish Houston had a tougher schedule to test your team in OOC. Your schedule is currently ranked 329 and 3 more bad teams on the OOC schedule. Schedule aside, Gray does look really good.

Ya, I'm not sure... Maybe there is a minimum number of assists set for the list? Ray has 23 assists to 3 turnovers on the season. The lowest I saw on the list is 25.

Still, a guard only having 3 turnovers in 10 games is rather remarkable

So do we, we'd have more ~8k attended games and less ~800. I'll never understand the way we schedule for basketball, it's on a whole different level with how bad it is.

It's like more than 12 months too early, but it will be fun wishing
