Texas A&M QB
NIU has dealt with injuries at QB this year, and unfortunately they are part of football, but this may be worse. Texas A&M QB to transfer right before their bowl game:

Talk about screwing your current team over; but since he's a grad transfer (if I read that right) he's eligible immediately and the semester has ended at A&M so the bowl game while it is the culmination of the 2015 season, if it is not played during the academic fall term, he is free to do as he pleases.

Wow that's a 03-nutkick

Murray is a freshmen and was a 5 star recruit.

RE: Texas A&M QB
It a great rule for new Bowling Green coach Mike Jinx who is bringing his QB with him from Texas Tech.

Not sure how the Matt Johnson understudies at Bowling Green feel about this.

They can move to a FCS school and play right away which was Aaron Bailey's path after Wes Lunt moved from Oklahoma and became Illinois starter.

Interesting how the picture on the article shows him being tackled by a WCU player. West Carolina is FCS. It sure seems like a strange decision to miss out on starting a bowl game. Typically, when a player transfers from FBS to FCS, it is because he wants the opportunity to start, i.e. Brandon Jacobs going from Auburn to SIU.

He must have personal differences with the staff/program at A&M.

The recent transfers are mostly based on coaching decisions regarding playing time and also their non-commitment to the OC who recruited both QBs. Sounds like Murray was already mad about how they handled the QB decision and then Sumlin wouldn't commit to whether the OC would be back next year. Two 5* QBs transfer within a week of each other. No good.

My boss is an aggie, not really plugged in, but he follows them so take it for what it's worth. Obviously he was unhappy as the season was going on as he felt that he was promised certain things and they weren't handled accordingly. Once Kyle Allen left supposedly, sumlin told Murray he couldn't play baseball in the spring because they needed him to get reps since he didn't play to his potential.

I don't know how much is true, but you take a kid that never lost in high school, his dad was a star at the school, things don't go your way, you feel a little bitter. IMO, kid should go to UT and play baseball and stick to baseball. He's undersized to play in the NFL, many people in DFW sports radio say he would be drafted in the first 5 rounds in the mlb right now.

I just saw a story that reports that the chancellor is looking to terminate Sumlin's contract.

Yeah there were rumblings that Kyler wanted to transfer to a JUCO, play one year of baseball and then enter the MLB draft

That would be dumb unless they know something that the public doesn't. There's no one out there that would be better than Sumlin right now.

Makes sense. Something is up when the rats all flee the ship. I'm sure the Aggie pockets are deep too.
