Good idea, but sad reflection on attendance.

I think all the schools have issues this time of year. I watched part of the Oklahoma State/Longwood game that followed the UC-NSU game last night and it looked like there couldn't be more than a couple hundred people in attendance.

I often take my kids to WVU games in Morgantown during the Christmas break because you can get family packs of tickets really cheaply and then, midway through the first half say "Everybody move on down!" and you scramble to get the best seats you can.

It is an excellent idea because HS students today become UC fans of tomorrow. And the more people in the house the better.

RE: High School students - Ruckus
We all know among the students the biggest UC fans are from out of town, so these games during break are tough on student attendance. I was never really sure why they bother to schedule games then anyway. Take Christmas off.

I bought a mini package and usually supplement that with student tickets this time of year. In the past UC would offer them to the general public for $20.

I think that is a really good idea. Hook a few more fans and maybe get a few more students to consider UC. Honestly over winter break, there just aren't enough students around to fill the student section.

My first UC game was as a high school kid. Hooked for life.

It's on gobearcats.com but other than that I am not sure how they are promoting it. I'll ask next time I see one of the marketing folks.
