So he was not and is not "spot on". He's a troll.

So do you have proof of a Div III game on ESPN that drew less? If you don't (And since it has never been on there, you don't), you have not proven to be any more correct than he is. Whether he was trolling or not. And he wasn't: you just took a sarcastic statement (which even so is pretty close to true) and took it too literally, yet cannot even unprove it. Replays of strongman competitions from 1998 draw a million people, if shown during the day. I'd venture a DIII game probably would come close, but there is no way to prove it either since it will not be on the main network.

I'm not going to waste my time to research a troll comment.

You said he was wrong, because of your comment. Unless you research your own damn comment, you cannot use it as proof he is wrong. This si your way of not admitting something, but you F'd up. Admit it and move on. His comment has reasonable evidence to back it up. Yours has none. That makes your comment more the "troll" comment.

Prove it wrong, or leave it alone, but stop claiming your statement is true just because, and that proves him wrong.

I didn't F up, he did. With his incorrect, troll statement.

Not going to waste my time researching. Nor am I going to worry too much about your policing.

His comment is tantamount to saying "the sky is not really blue, it's actually a shade of purple". Then your comment is tantamount to saying "you can't say he's wrong, because you personally haven't taken the time to analyze the spectrum of the sky!"

The FCS title game is on ESPN2 last year it had 1.444 million viewers. The DII and DIII playoff games are not on ESPN so you can't really compare but I would say the ESPN2 comparison makes it clear that they aren't the same. Even the FCS Friday night semifinal games on Friday night beat up on the DII title game.

Also the NCAA hockey title game is on ESPN, it had an audience way under 1 million so to say ESPN can air anything on the mothership and get a million viewers is a bit dishonest.

The schools in last year's D2 championship was between Colorado State-Pueblo which is a fairly new program vs a Mankato State team in not a heavy populated area could be a problem. NW Missouri State this year would be different, but Shepherd could be different.

I read somewhere that Lindenwood is a for profit. There could be hell trying to get them up to D1 after all the stink about Grand Canyon U.

Yes you did. You just won't admit it. You gave an example that you stated proved him wrong, yet don't "Care to research it" to see if it proves it. Just par for the course though. Unless you prove it with your data, you are not "Correct."

There are already DI in women's hockey and play in the same conference as Penn St and Syracuse.

They definitely have DI ambitions in all sports, but the Summit is probably the only conference that will take them. Lindenwood has nearly as many sports as Stanford.

Field hockey or ice hockey?

Ice hockey would be different ... since its not a sport with a separate DII championship, all a DII school that plays ice hockey has to do is to declare that they will play ice hockey under DI rules, viola, they are DI ice hockey. No DI transition is required.

No I didn't, he did. Thanks for your opinion. You've added nothing to the discussion.
