His career will be dead before it even starts if he goes there

RE: Paxton to Browns With Second Pick In McShay's First Mock Draft
For selfish reasons I'd like to see him go to Dallas, but I seriously believe that the GM believes Romo has three to five years left in him. If that's the case, then they won't pick a QB with a top 5 pick. They'll take a Jalen Ramsey type defensive impact player or they'll trade the pick.

Romo's horizon looks more like three to five games than three to five years but what do I know.

Too many injuries in past 2-3 years. The o-line can't protect him.
I don't think he has that many years left.
JUST SAY NO TO JOHNNY FOOTBALL!!

I understand money talks, and thats alot of money but Cleveland is a death trap for rookie QB's. He needs to have someone in his ear telling him it might be worth it not to go, but I know that isn't going to happen, only thing that might happen is someone trade up to take him

Dallas has a former Boise State QB on the practice squad (Kellen Moore). They've been pretty high on him for awhile...which is why they have him on the practice squad. They figured he could learn little by little without getting thrown into the fire I guess.
Anyways unless they get rid of him...I don't see them making a genius move like trading up to get Paxton.

how would anyone know?
He hasn't really been able to show anyone what he can do since he left Boise State.
If he has been with Dallas this long...someone sees SOMETHING in him wouldn't you say?

Great points. No doubt. Clearly he's shown some good things to the Cowboy brass.

Lynch to Dallas carrying a clipboard around for a couple of seasons learning the system and being mentored by Romo would be a "genius" stroke. Jerry Jones is NOT a genius. Great "Owner" - terrible football man.

I'd rather see him wind up in St. Louis.

For Jeff Fisher? He'd have a new coordinator every season

I don't anticipate Dallas will utilize a top-10 pick on a backup to Tony Romo for the next couple years. They want to win now, and that sort of pick can affect their ability to win greatly. I'm guessing he'll end up with a team such as the Browns, 49ers, Rams, or maybe the Texans

Is that why they traded draft picks for Matt Cassell?

Fisher under-utilizes his qb's. Doesn't know anything but ball control and defense.

Is it a given that the Browns are giving up on Manziel? After the game he had Sunday?

Romo was third fiddle from 03-06 and was close to getting cut before Quincy Carter had his misfortune. But Romo did get on the field by being the holder for XP and FGs.
