I guess that's why being ranked is so important. It's impossible to fall out

Yeah , its interesting we improved 2 spots in the Coaches poll and stayed steady at #23 AP.

I guess if you step back and look . We lost to the #10 team in the country on their court by 10 . We lost at home by 2 points to #17/18 Butler. We beat the #21/22 team GW on a neutral court. Took care of all other business. All in all #20/#23 seems reasonable and appropriate for this team right now.

Especially when you consider that a lot of teams have lost to some bad teams. Honestly I expected us to get hammered by the voters because we usually do when we lose, which is unfair considering some of the losses by other ranked teams. I still feel we are a top 20 team, just need to learn from our mistakes and find the fire to play a complete 40 minutes even night out.

I must say I'm surprised (pleasantly) that UC didn't fall out of both polls top 25. This helps provide a buoy after the X loss. You wonder if UC had not made it a closer game in the second half if the polls would have reflected differently. In any event, this means poo if UC can't win the next several games.

Can anybody tell me how we lost to XU and still climbed two spots? Not complaining....just don't get it.

George Washington is hot and they are the only team to beat #9 Virginia, and we beat them. Lots of teams have been losing, many to unranked teams, while our losses are to #18 Butle rat the buzzer and at #10 Xavier. It also probably helps that we gave Xavier the closest game they have had, and that was at Cintas.
