Tulsa is second in RPI at 47

rpi numbers look shakey for the league right now

2 bids max

I agree. I think getting 2-3 is max this year. Another reason why i'd like to land 3 high caliber hoops programs in the aac.

cincy is in..and i think uconn or memphis are in

technically a 3 bid if you consider smu is likely a 2 or 3 seed if they were eligible

We had better teams the last two years get left out.

This is good news for Tulane since Dannen will have enough ammo to make a change at HC.

Seeing what Dannen pulled off with the football hire, I'm somewhat confident he'll have something in mind for the basketball team.

I'll say, three big league, could be four if everything works out perfectly. UConn and Cincy have about a 90% chance, Tulsa and Memphis have about a 50% chance and Houston has about a 25% chance. If SMU was eligible we would be a four or five bid league.

Love me some Barkley. He and Tyson are legit AAC level players and would be good for any team in this league. Need more of them though.

If we had an AAC level big man things would be so much different. Our backcourt is high level.

#SMU up to 18 in the latest AP top 25 poll. Other AAC teams: Cincinnati stays at 23, UConn back in at 25

I don't think our current PG play is high enough level. Prince is playing alright but he's just not going to night in and night out be a great player because he's not a consistent enough shooter, and so far Tejada hasn't made real strides.

RE: Current Basketball Power Ratings
The media covering this conference don't seem to really care.

They are mailing it in.

Daniel Hamilton for UConn is turning in routine double doubles, getting close to triple doubles, and he has never once made player of the week or honor roll. It is a bit crazy.

This week against No. 6 Maryland, he scored 23 points. Crickets.

I have to admit, I haven't gotten to see many AAC teams play. Only UConn, SMU, Memphis, Cincy, Temple and Houston. So I can understand we're not tuning in the way we use to with the BE when fans and writers were familiar with every team.

Football season was very different than this. I wonder if we're getting "placed" as the football variant of the A10/Big East. People didn't shut up about EVERY SINGLE GOOD WIN the AAC had this fall.

Most of the world doesn't start to pay attention closely until conference play and mostly until March. Just the way it is.

I actually think that Lebo should play Barkley at point guard. Barkley leads one man breaks all the time after he gets a steal or a rebound; and then he actually looks to push and he passes to his teammates. Barkley's set shot 3 looks funny, but it goes in more than the other point guards. And Barkley can definitely defend that position.
