It was all part of Watts' plan that Jake wasn't able to play his senior season for the Blazers and was thus able to go on to bigger and better things in the SEC, right? Right?

No, your statement would imply that Watt's knew who Jack was, and I don't believe that for a second.

MY OPINION:
The BOT's plan - actuated by Watts - was that UAB would drop football and C-USA would allow UAB to remain a member as a basketball only school. If C-USA had gone along with that, UAB football would not exist today.

It remains my conviction that Watts got zero invites to acceptable "BB only" conferences (they were not fooled by the charade pretending that ending football was ALL Watts' idea), and did not want a school that was so obviously controlled by governing forces at another school.

I should have included the requisite blue font.

Watts doesn't know Jack!
That is for sure.

Went to Auburn to cheer on our former Blazer.
It was clear to me that Jake Ganus was the Bulldog team leader.
It was an honor to watch him play for Chelsea and UAB! and Georgia.
He also won a team award for out kicking his coverage.
