Michigan 2016 schedule.....wow does it setup nice
OOC is Hawaii, UCF and Colorado. The schedule sets up nicely, they leave the state once (to Rutgers) before November, with no back to back away game. Cross over is Wisconsin and IL and Iowa.

Could easily be 10-1 heading into the finally against OSU.

1. Hawaii
2. UCF
3. Colorado
4. PSU
5. Wisconsin
6. @Rutgers
7. Bye
8. Illinois
9. @MSU
10. Maryland
11. @Iowa
12. Indiana
13. @OSU

8 home games?

Well, at least there are no FCS teams.

Mich and Wisc better get used to each other. They are going to play for 4 straight years.

I guess its possible to play PSU, Wisc @MSU, @Iowa, etc and go 10-1.

Good luck with that.

Wisconsin might be the night game. That could be fun.

Dave Brandon was not happy with the Big Ten for putting OSU and MSU on the same home/away cycle.

We'll have a new QB, so unfortunately it's really hard to predict what next year might look like.

Really glad to see 9 conference games finally. We were mising so much of the conference the last few years. With all the changes, Ohio State has not played Northwestern at home since 2007! Given we used to play them 6 out of 8 years, I'm looking forward to more games again.

For Michigan/Wisconsin, it will probably actually be 6 years in a row. Thanks to the "parity based scheduling" they said they have 18 year cycles. That probably means we only have one semi-locked team from the other division for the next 6 years then they rotate (outside of Purdue-Indiana which will stick).

JMO, but I think Michigan will win a National Title with Harbaugh at the helm

Can't say that the Wildcats have missed the Buckeyes.

RE: Michigan 2016 schedule.....wow does it setup nice
saw this:
Confirmed Michigan is hiring Don Brown from Boston College to replace D.J. Durkin as defensive coordinator. It might not seem like a splash hire taking Brown from 3-9 Boston College, but Brown's unit ranked first nationally in total defense in 2015. He did that with an offense that provided little help, finishing 126th in total offense. BC was 11th defensively in 2014, too.

great hire for Michigan IMO.

I would disagree and say it doesn't set up nice....

Road games @ Michigan State, @ Iowa, and @ Ohio State....those games will be tough

Penn State and Wisconsin aren't exactly lay-ups either...Colorado will certainly come to play

I am somewhat in the middle here.

Postives for a national title run:
1. 5 conference home games and 4 road games with all non-conference at home.
2. Biggest games generally have what at first glance seems to be an easier game beforehand.
3. It might be the kind of schedule still you could lose 1 (as long as it is the right one and not one that will knock you out of conference contention) and still get to the Fiesta/Peach Bowls.

Negatives for a national title run:
1. Several of your more difficult games are on the road. You are always going to have some, but having both major rivals on the road is not something that looks good on the schedule when both have been up the past few years.

2. Of their non-locked games in conference, they play Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. Illinois probably is still going to be rebuilding, but Wisconsin seems to be righting things again and Iowa has found ways to be amazing this season.
