RE: St John's
Great game by the Johnnies. Hope it's because they're getting better and not just Syracuse being that bad. That's four straight loses for Cuse versus BE schools. St. Johns twice, Nova and Georgetown. You'd probably have to go back a long way to find the last time Cuse lost four in a row when they were in the BE. Anyway, with conference play starting soon the competition will be getting tougher, so it's good to win these kind of games.

One of those games where you just smile if you are a St John's fan. Early Christmas present.

You are right about hopefully it's St John's getting better and not Syracuse not being good. The bit that I watched today- it just seemed like there was no juice at all for Syracuse. None.

Huge win for the Johnnies. Mullin has quite the collection of young talent on the roster. Looking forward to seeing them once BE play begins.

In other news, Hopkins isn't doing himself any favors as the "head coach in waiting" after Boeheim.

what a difference a week makes. does make you wonder if everything is all Syracuse... not just the St John's game, but also the Georgetown game. From what we've seen- it very possibly could just be Syracuse.

RE: St John's
hoops22, did you see the look of Chris Mullin late in the game(during the replay review after SJ had scored to get within 5 and they almost had the in bounds pass)? I saw that look and it kind of took me aback. Almost like the gravity of the situation hit him with a ton of bricks.

Fortunately, I was traveling and didn't see any of the game. Was just getting some occasional updates on my phone. Mullin certainly knows the game well enough to realize what he's dealing with this year. He's got too much class to embarrass his guys publicly, or toss anyone under the bus, but this can't be easy for him. Not much he can do but just bite his upper lip, and wait for some talent to arrive.

As far as Cuse goes, I don't know what the deal is with them. But I'm not about to toss stones at another program when my own team is playing so poorly.

RE: St John's
yeah. it was just a really strange look.

it'll be interesting to see how they play on Tuesday vs South Carolina. pretty solid team there. definitely not the taste you want entering conference play
