Voted ECU, mostly because they seemed lonely, but I think it's a better hire than many have given credit for considering the other names they were looking at.

As an outsider I voted Houston and Herman. He showed his value in two ways: Houston's record and Ohio State's struggles on offense without him.

Houston retaining Herman for at least another year is the biggest win.

UCF bringing in Frost and getting rid of GOL is second. I'll always been a GOL supporter, but it's clear he didn't have anything left in the tank. He should have retired when he originally planned to (right after the Fiesta win).

If Temple, Houston, USF, and UCF can all retain their coaches for the next few years this will be a really fun league to watch.

Retaining Herman, and it should probably be excluded since it isn't close.

After that, I really like UCF's hire. They'll be back quick, which is great for the conference.

Oleary's check as a consultant is no big deal. get over the anger already.

Nobody is angry. Just pointing it out.

If hate to be 'that guy', but the AAC for the most part did a great job. The schools def stepped up and showed that they are looking to become better. Next year should be a very very good year of football for the AAC.

Imagine the message it would have sent if memphis managed to keep their coach.

Agreed. I think it would have really helped solidify the AAC.

Having guts enough to remove a popular coach. He simply knew that "yes" was never going to be the answer in regard to Ruff. It was always going to be "I hope so." This move will energize the fan base and team to move ahead. Stagnation was happening in Greenville and Compher saw it and did something about it while everyone else ignored it.
