Kansas State came to the Convo in 2005. Great game. Huskies won in overtime. Big crowd as well.

I was living in South Dakota at the time, so it must have been something like 2001-2003 era, but I know there was a game when NIU and CMU were kind of both good, and NIU and CMU squared off in DeKalb with Kaman on CMU. I think they drew in excess of 5000 fans but not sure. NIU lost that game but I heard the environment was incredible for that too.

Best bball game I've ever attended at NIU. Chick Evans was booming that night.

I was at that game and sat in the upper deck corner so there had to be 7K there. It showed me how the Convo can be with a full crowd. Just looked at the box official attendance was 6,813

Yup...that was a great atmosphere. When we closed down Chick Evans too...another great one. Unfortunately I missed the Wisky game.
