According to Jim, Capotosto had 22 points and that's a career high for her

Good win over a CSU team that beat BGSU by 21!

The team has really turned things around in a hurry. Shooting has been outstanding in the wins:

In the 6 losses: FG: 37.3%, 3FG: 33.6%, FT: 71.4%
In the 3 wins: FG: 47.6%, 3FG: 50%, FT: 78.8%

She also had 10 boards for a double-double.

It's officially a winning streak. Ladies seem to have shaken off the early season jitters and are starting to play like rockets.

RE: WBB: Cleveland State at Toledo
During the 0-6 run I kept thinking that the sum of the parts of this team was significantly greater than the whole----i.e., the individual talent on the team was better than they played as a team which was reflected in their 0-6 record. Of course they were over matched by Dayton (despite hanging with them, but never threatening, after a disastrous 1st quarter) and were significantly over matched by Notre Dame. Still the other four games I thought would be toss ups and I still believe that the Rockets could have and maybe should have won at least a couple of those as well.

I think a couple of things have changed in the past 3 games -----I don't see the last three wins as being over teams vastly inferior to those of the first four losses (ignoring ND & Dayton) although many argue that is the case. Rather, I believe that the Rocket team chemistry has improved and perhaps most importantly not all of the veterans are having poor scoring games at the same time---at least one or two of the experienced players have had a very hot scoring hand during each of these games. Whereas B. Harris and Janice M. carried a lot of the scoring load during the ASU Tourney, neither scored in the first half today. Harris' shooting was cold all day and never got on track. Her only three points of the game came midway into the 3rd quarter with a layup and a foul shot added on. Janice didn't score until the 4th quarter but once she broke the ice her scoring got on track and she finished strong with 11 points. Ana had the sharp shooting eye for threes during the entire game and really kept the Rockets in the game early on until Jay-Ann's scoring also began to warm up a bit in the second quarter and she kept a hot scoring hand throughout the rest of the game. The bench contribution was 7 points, 5 of which were Boyd, the only one of the "new" players to score although Woody, Prince and St. Fort all saw significant floor time. Kessler and MacIntyre did not see any floor time today.

So---off to Savage Hall for the day's second round 03-wink

Guys if I may suggest, let cny do play by play whenever possible and everybody who wants and who can add some color and other observations. Critique of what is going on positive and negative and some info on what the rest of team is doing when not shooting. When I can't go to game or get radio that makes it awesome for me. It brings the game right to me as if I were there and makes it way better than listening to Heller. Also info on attendance and fan involvement would also be nice. Any observations of what coaches are doing would also be nice. Trying real hard to make positive criticism as I truly appreciate what you guys do for us that can't get to a game for one reason or another. This would help reduce the confusion and enhance the experience for us and it would be a win win for everybody especially us fans. Thanks guys
