USA TOday: CFB Assistant Coach Database
Wow, talk about a sobering list. Coach Gran is the highest paid assistant on this staff at $370,000/yr. That is good enough to put him in at #170 on the list. Coach Prunty is even further down the list in the 270s.

The position we are in today as opposed to say 3-4 years ago is staggering. With the last round of expansion every one got richer (including other G5's). The only three schools to lose out on the deal were UC, UConn and USF.

Not too surprised. When I started college Head coaches were making 60K-100K at places like UC, or a Kansas, Purdue.

Gran is the 5th highest G5 assistant coach. Only higher ones are at UCF (Brent Key makes 1.04m), Houston (501k), Colorado State (500k), and ECU (405k).

Out of 106 schools reporting data, our total assistant coach's salaries are 58th (1.95 million). That's about where we are in everything, it seems.

It will make it easier to lose good assistants to the P5 as well. Gran probably wont be here much longer.

If Gran goes elsewhere offering the coordinator position to Darrin Hinshaw should be priority #1

Based on the improvement of Munchie and Moore, I would agree.
