2016 Football Schedule
From the main board. Asst C-USA commissioner saying 2016 schedule will likely be same conference opponents (including inter-division games), with locations flipped. So no MTSU, as it appears.

http://www.pilotonline.com/sports/odu-wi...1b087.html

Our potential schedule would be:

Non-conference:

@ Army
Baylor
PV A&M
@ Stanford

Conference:

UNT
UTSA
UTEP
@LaTech
@USM
FAU
@Charlotte
@WKU

EDIT: This is not in actual order of when we play them, just a list of our probable opponents and whether home/away.

RE: 2016 Football Schedule
Two good things that stand out:

No Thanksgiving home games - regardless of opponent or quality, they draw horrible crowds.
We are set up to have a lot of in-state opponents, so we may have some decent attendance numbers at HRS if we don't crap the bed.

One bad thing: We play our toughest conference games all on the road.

Finishing with two road games is brutal, but maybe we're due.

Apologies...that's not in order of actual scheduling, I just bifurcated them between non-conference and conference. We do finish with Stanford on the road though.

Don't forget @Stanford, that game has been moved to end of November.

Darn, you got my hopes up.

But as WIowl said, at least we aren't home for Thanksgiving, so all of my points still stand.

First three games would be:
Sep 1 @WKU
Sep 10 @Army
Sep 17 Baylor

If WKU keeps pace with last year, the Army game will be a must win or an 0-3 start might be possible.

Ouch. Is the 4th game PVAM? I hope so.

No, PVAM is late October, probably as homecoming. I think the AD learned after the Southern Miss debacle.

Edit: Oct 22 hosting PVAM

Hmm. Better bring the kitchen sink to the Army game.

Well, their qb will presumably not be granted a seventh year at the school

But WKU was able to retain Brohm and Rice retained Bailiff....

Tough to win on the road regardless but we've all seen what can happen when an experienced qb leaves...

Agree Army is a must win. Baylor could get ugly, and it could be hard to sell tickets for the remaining games if we are 0-3 with blowouts on the road in a nationally televised opener, and then in our home opener (and EZF opening) against Baylor.
