We can hang with everyone else and we'll still make the playoffs and get a minimum of 2 home games. Maybe we can sneak a series out depending on seeding. That's good for the city.

Sooner or later we will have to blow this thing up and re-build around Mike & Marc but I don't think now is the time. And when we do I hope we have someone in place that can effectively draft

I think the problem is you can handle not competing with GS, CLE, OKC, SA if you are young and talented and just can't hang with the big boys (Utah, Orlando, Boston). We are old, slow and devoid of draft picks. That's a recipe for becoming a lottery team with no lottery picks. The longer you wait to rebuild the longer and harder the rebuild will be.

If I am the GM, I would package TA with Mike for some young talent and picks. Sign Chalmers to a long term deal. Make Zbo a 6th man type player. It lets us go to a small ball starting lineup with the cash to get some decent wings and frees up a lineup spot for Jordan Adams.

I don't HATE the idea of blowing it up. At most you probably lose 2 home playoff games this year and a few rough years to follow. But if you get picks and draft well, make smart signings etc. then you could make it back. That would likely require a front office change IMO.

Also, if we are going to blow it up...BLOW IT UP. That includes our $21M 30 year old center who doesn't rebound. I like Marc, but there's a ton of value on the market for him and no sense in keeping him if we have a bunch of young scrubs around him for a few years...
