Get over it already. We were announcing to the fans that we suddenly had another ~3000 tickets available. There was nothing malicious about it. Sorry the truth hurt so bad.

As the truth will this time.

Make no mistake; the prices are dropping due to Houston. FSU will have a HUGE turnout with Atlanta being 4.5 hours away. Expectation is that Houston will struggle.

There is no excuse with a 3 week's notice. It's disappointing that we are already hearing the excuses. It's 800 miles folks!

But what can you expect when you can't sell-out a 40K stadium for a championship game without the opponent's support.

Based on what I'm seeing, I'll set the O/U on Houston fans at 6K.

nice argument of pure conjecture and no evidence all from 1 days worth of sales...

Next time Houston fans want to pump your chest at the expense of another team, you better have your own Sh*t together. Not selling out a home CG and not supporting the singular G5 bowl game, is ... well, pretty much putting you on equal footing with most of the other AAC teams. No better, no worse. So you had a nice season, you have a very good team, but get off your holier than thou attitude.

Next time have your $hit together, play better, and prove how much better you would do.

Nobody was "pumping their chest" at anyone's expense. It didn't make Houston look good or better that Temple's CCG allotment went almost completely untouched. We simply expected better from your fans, and with good reason.

Now, we had one of the highest attendance % of any non-neutral site CCG in history and we're going to sell our allotment of Peach Bowl tickets. What exactly is it you're impotently raging about? Just plain ol' butthurt?

It's funny, this picture very accurately describes Temple or Memphis games
at the end of the season.

Meanwhile in Houston....

Did we not learn anything from today and last week?

Why throw stones to start with?

Good luck with settling things in your soul if things that happen on this message board really reach inside you and stir emotions this strong.

what did we learn from last week/today?

that houston doesnt have 80k fans willing to buy ticket at 4x the box price on day 1?
or that temple only bought 50 alloted tickets total?
or that houston would have technically had a sellout if temple had sold its allotment?

Well, I was at the game and the Temple representation was probably not much over 50. The vacant corner on the home side 300's is the Temple section. Attendance at the AAC CCG was 35,700. The MW CCG was just under 21K. The attendance at the MAC and CUSA CCG's were both under 17K. We exceeded our season average (rare for non-power CCG's which typically fall short of the season average) and vastly outsold the other G5 CCG's. I might add that 35,700 was also larger than the last two Temple home crowds at Lincoln where Temple had the whole year to sell tickets for. I think we did just fine with one week notice and virtually no help from the visiting team (which to be fair, is just the way it is in a spread out conference--Im sure we don't bring a ton of folks to Temple). I would have loved a sell out, maybe next year.

Good luck, best wishes, to all conference brother programs and fans in their bowl games, at the ticket booth, in coaching searches, and determining what issues we all let control our emotions.

Cheers!

No offense here we had 37k in attendance we gave Temple 3k allotment. Do the math. Understand it's a long trek to Houston for Temple fan, but they had it right for the seating allotment for the visiting team. Sold 50 tickets! C'mon man.

Yea! 37K came out to the championship game! Yea!

You look really stupid acting as if that isn't an impressive turnout given what the % of capacity typically is at CCGs.

Really?

I guess UCF fans developed an acceptance and ease with lying/different version of the truth.... during all those years under O'Leary:

"On Sunday, UCF announced it had sold 5,000 tickets, less than one-third of its 17,500 ticket it is required to purchase for the bowl game. The UCF figure includes band members and player and team compensatory tickets — meaning fewer than 5,000 tickets have been sold."

Source: http://mweb.cbssports.com/ncaaf/eye-on-c...-allotment

Now I understand that many UCF fans bought tix through ticket brokers at better pricing and seating...but it wasn't that much more.

Dang! Caught in my act again with those dang statistics! Too bad the visual evidence tells a different story... I guess I'll just erase this from my memory and defer to you.

Don't Watch This If You Want Your Reality Disrupted

I'm willing to bet there are more in that stadium rooting for UCF than USF averaged in attendance last year, announced or actual.

Sorry ...not watching 30 minutes video to "verify" your claim that UCF travelled so well that nobody now questions your travel numbers. You make it sound like you had 20,000 to 30,000 in attendance...gotcha.

I'll accept that as an "I give up, i don't have anything to counter" 04-cheers

It's what he does best. He's had nothing but negative things to say about UCONN since Houston's got here, and when I call him out on it he immediately smash-cuts to victim mode.

Yep, you Houston fans sure do love to denigrate the rest of the conference, then immediately smash-cut to victim mode when called out on your disrespectful behavior.
