bump.

I'm wondering about this myself. If I had a vote, it would be

RE: All-Conference Team and post-season awards
C-USA usual does an MVP, Offensive POTY, Defensive POTY, Special Teams POTY, Top Freshman, and Newcomer of the Year. They will be released Wednesday.

I'l guess based on no facts whatsoever:
Coach - Todd Monken
MVP - Brandon Doughty
Offense - Kenneth Dixon
Defense - Trey Hendrickson
Special Teams - Garrett Schwettman
Freshman - Brent Stockstill
Newcomer - Jeff Driskel

RE: All-Conference Team and post-season awards
I'm biased, but think Deandre Reeves should win ST player of the year. Fifth in the nation in KR, would be top 10 in PR if he had 1 more attempt to qualify, 3 return TDs this year.

I put him but them wavered because it seemed every time Schwettman's name was spoken it was followed by some WKU record he had broken. Reaves would be a fine selection.

Schwettman was the most accurate FG kicker in the nation this season at 93.3%. He is also the all time leading scoring in WKU history.

RE: All-Conference Team and post-season awards
Quote:The All-Conference USA Teams were selected by a vote of the league’s 13 head football coaches.

Louisiana Tech running back Kenneth Dixon, receiver Trent Taylor, defensive tackle Vernon Butler and safety Xavier Woods each received first team honors while offensive linemen Darrell Brown and Jens Danielsen, linebacker Nick Thomason, cornerback Bryson Abraham and kicker Jonathan Barnes all received second team honors.

The Bulldogs’ nine selections overall were the second-most among the league’s 13 football programs. Southern Miss led the way with 10 selections while Conference USA Champion Western Kentucky received eight overall selections.

FYI.

Since Richie James was the only 1st team freshman I would think he will be freshman of the year right?

reeves set the Marshall career and single season KR marks this year also. Both had great years, it will be interesting to see who is selected. Reeves did make all conference as both a KR and a PR, so if he doesn't get it he was still recognized well.

I'm suprised WKU just had 1 (and he is a good 1) offensive lineman on the teams.
