ESPN Predicts Bowl Game Winners
http://espn.go.com/college-football/stor...redictions

Of special note:
Birmingham Bowl: Auburn vs. Memphis
(Dec. 30, noon, ESPN)
Memphis lost its head coach, Auburn lost its defensive coordinator and Memphis likely will lose its quarterback, Paxton Lynch, but only after he shreds the Auburn defense for another win against the SEC West. Memphis 40, Auburn 33

I'd bet your house. I'm not betting mine.

But still, I don't think Auburn has faced a QB like Pax this year. And doing so without the DC might just help Pax lock up that #1 spot in the draft.

Being without that particular DC may just help Auburn, unfortunately.

If Paxton plays like he did against Navy, Houston and Tulane, I wouldn't bet my dog house on a Memphis win. He played well against sub-par competition, not so much against the better teams in the AAC.

If by going 72-115 (62.6%) for 926 yards with 4 TDs and only two interceptions is playing bad, I guess...

And if you consider Ole Miss subpar.

Auburn is good. Their game with Alabama was close up till the end. At least two or three of their losses could have easily been wins. Then you'd be looking at a 9-3 team. I don't want to play Auburn.

His only "bad" game all year was Temple

...and they are a shanked punt by a FCS punter away from not even making a bowl game.

I watched Auburn a couple of times this year and I am not sure I was ever impressed with them...

Their former DC was the only reason they didn't get blown out in every game they lost. He may not be a likable guy to a lot of people but he can coach a defense.

A lot, LOT, of dropped passes. And those play calls at Temple are still a mystery.

Auburn is better than their record...but sub par QB play overall slowed them.

While they could have beaten the bear pinks and Arkansas, they also could have easily lost to KY and Jacksonville State. Too bad they are not 7-5. Same team picked to make the playoffs, so they have talent.

However, if our kids play well, we win.

Sorry you missed all the games this year but that's no reason to make things up.
