ACC- 9 for 14 teams
BigXII- 7 for 10 teams
B1G- 8 for 14 teams
Pac12- 7 for 12
SEC- 10 for 14 teams

That's 41 guaranteed bowl spots for 64 teams. Does the 10th best team in the SEC really deserve a guaranteed bowl spot?

A 6-6 SEC team definitely deserves a spot over a 6-6 MAC team.

Hb 6-6 Illinois with no .500 wins and Toledo at home with 7 wins, 4 over bowl teams, and 3 losses to 10 win teams?
Those bottom spots for P5 kill contenders in G5 conferences with tough OOC schedules. If that 6-6 SEC team has 2 SEC wins over Vandy and Kentucky, then swept OOC vs Syracuse, Tulane, FIU and FCS what would you think???

Ok, 6-6 Auburn with its 87,000 fans per game or 7-5 Akron with its 9,000 fans per game. Are you seriously trying to say Akron is a better option than Auburn on and off the field?

This is a joke, right? Two more bowl games?

Unfortunately, I don't think it is. This is just talk for now, but even the idea of a couple of more bowls seems ridiculous.

Just declare a 13 game season and be done with it.

RE: Pathetic-Too Many Bowls
Y'know, I was actually having a series of thoughts earlier this week that had me concluding that it was preposterous that a team with our résumé did not finish with a top 25 ranking. I think one of the bigger reasons for that is once our bowl game happened, and a couple of weeks had passed and the season was still playing out, our game just kind of got lost in the shuffle of all those 'other' bowl games. I was thinking, how many bowl games can I actually remember? Not a whole lot of them. That's the only real downside, in my opinion, of too many bowl games, cause I sure don't mind watching most of them, and I selfishly would love the opportunity to add Austin and Charleston to the list of possible destinations I could make a trip to in December.
