Arizona Bowl
The Arizona Bowl is between Colorado State and Nevada. The commissioner can't be happy with that.

RE: Arizona Bowl
I would be more pissed about having your teams passed over 5-7 san jose state.

NCAA needs to clarify that 6-6 or better bowl eligible team regardless of conference should ALWAYS be given preference over a 5-7 team.

The only exception I could think of is if the 5-7 team is from the conference the bowl ties in to. East Carolina going to the cure bowl at least I would understand.

RE: Arizona Bowl
Hopefully, something like that will come out of the Bowl Oversight committee in January. They are suppose to discuss how to handle this and possibly just having bowls going dark.

RE: Arizona Bowl
Arizona Bowl is shaping up.
http://www.reporterherald.com/sports/ci_...e-football

While the fans seem upset about the matchup, the players are happy to be playing in another game and having a bowl experience. Where seem to have started out as a crappy situation it turns out this will be a good experience for the players.

The swag gifts: Custom cowboy boots, watch and backpack.

Accommodations: Both teams will be stay at one of the many golf resorts.

Sightseeing: Both teams will go to Old Tucson (Studios) will many western films are made (been there and was a great experience) and will enjoy a steak dinner and bull riding expedition there.

Bowl game viewing: Besides being stream for free by Campus Insiders, the American Sports Network will broadcast the game over the air. Currently, there are 75 stations coast to coast that will show the game with 50 more getting lined up in the coming weeks.

Not being own by EPSN will make the bowl a good one for the MW and CUSA to help develop.
In addition, the Dec 29 date is very nice and great to have an after Christmas bowl where quite a few fans will be on vacation and being to make it a nice vacation.
