CUSA's ****** Bowl Contracts
We have got to get out of the Arizona, New Mexico, and Bolivian School for the Blind Bowls next year. We need to drop to no more than 4 contractually guaranteed bowls so that CUSA teams are free to get selected vs P5 opponents instead of being forced to go to some of these worthless bowls.

RE: CUSA's ****** Bowl Contracts
First off, stop whining just because you are going to New Orleans.

Secondly, I do agree that the Arizona Bowl was a mistake - we should have secured more backup agreements similar to what the MAC has done, but at this point, there aren't many, if any at all, left to grab. IMO we should secure an Independence Bowl agreement similar to what the MWC has for the Cactus Bowl - if Big 12 or Pac 12 cannot fill the Cactus, the Cactus becomes MWC's #1 slot.

Some of these worthless bowls? Unless it's a bowl that pays over a million per team, they're all worthless. But at least you get some TV exposure.

For schools like MT that have been bowl eligible with 8 wins and left at home (think the Raiders have done that twice) any bowl is a good bowl!04-cheers

I hate to be the bearer of bad news...but I don't see any P5 programs exactly beating down doors to get into bowl matchups with any G5 team.

They think themselves to be superior. Perhaps you should stay home in 2 weeks and cry into your 2012 Independence Bowl pillow.

RE: CUSA's ****** Bowl Contracts
If you don't like the bowl lineup, at least think of the extra practice time your team will get vs teams sitting at home. This is especially important if you have a young team.

Was that the bowl game that ULM actually went to and then got rolled by Ohio University by 50pts?

At least they went when your sorry university stayed home and cried like a 2 year old. And then cried and whined again when they left you at home completely out of the bowl picture. For someone that doesn't win the conference or even their division, you LA Techers seem awful entitled.

Ask Little Miami how they felt in 98 when they sat at home at 10-1 when Marshall was 10-1 also but had the tie breaker.

RE: CUSA's ****** Bowl Contracts
This year, there are about three too many bowl game. Let's cut it back to 38 games (76 teams) and that's an appropriate number almost every year.

The new Cure Bowl actually has some appeal to me as I'd like to se more social responsibility out of sporting events, and with more people wanting to host, I think bowl games should be on the hook to show more social commitment and responsibility to their region and to the leagues they contract with.

Yes. It was the same bowl that drew a game attendance totaling 112 actual fans. 03-lmfao Just think ......the I-Bowl could have had at least 49K like we brought in 2008. 01-wingedeagle

I personally like the matchup with ASU and it should be a good game.

Oh, please Tech has that happen to them three times. But that was different era and now that there are 40 bowls what is the point of being contractual obligated to play in the worst bowls out there????

We have no teams in Arizona or New Mexico, except UTEP. In fact the Arizona Bowl, which has no television, will match two MWC teams playing each other. If that is "worthy" to you then "You Go Girl".
