That requires superior size and skill around the basket, in addition to good shooting. But when matched up with teams who are good, but don't have those Kentucky type players (not many do), we are hard to beat because we play hard defense and are able to get into passing lanes and make steals, which can offset our lack of great rebounding to some extent. And we shoot free throws extremely well. We are playing well above my expectations early in the season. I thought this would be our really rough patch, but we keep pulling rabbits out of the hat.

Looking at the schedule, the only game that I am "shocked" we won was SDST. I, and most "experts", may have overrated them considering they just lost to W. Virginia by 22 points on a neutral court. I figured Tulsa would be tough, but not out of our class. I liked the fact that we were playing "name" teams that were not really national powers- DePaul and Texas Tech definitely fit that bill. Will we beat them? I don't know but I like our chances. If Mareik and Josh, to some extent, ever get untracked the sky's the limit for this team.

I believe both Josh and Mareik will have their moments.

If those guys go on a tear, too bad for the other folks.
