Yes. Great Job. Mason is a big game. Mason has some big wins and bad losses. We need to beat them.

Great game today boys! I take back a good bit of the grief I've been laying on Jackson Kent. 9 pts, 7 assists and 11 boards. Nice game Jackson!

Marshall at JMU today at 2
What has happened to Marshall's program? Not only are they winless this year, they looked like an intramural team today with no continuity.
The Dukes shot great from 3 again and Brady is letting them launch it. With Dalembert out for long stretches the Offense lived on the perimeter and did surprisingly well.

Kent has been playing with better confidence- albeit against poor competition. Lot of guys can shoot from outside for the Dukes (Curry, Serb, Brown, Kent) all 35+ 40% type 3 point shooters- few teams have that type of depth from distance. McLean Grays and even Vodo are capable from long distance as well. Curry is really playing well- rebounding driving, passing, from 3, mid range- complete player and Brown is starting to show more of his arsenal. Nice to see Morgan pick up some minutes spelling Curry and McLean who were in foul trouble.
Let's keep it rolling- that UT Martin loss still stings- should be 8-2 but let's end the OOC on an extended winning streak at 10-3.

Kent has been playing with a lot of toughness last two games. He looks good.

Yea i never got the Kent hate. he had 2 nice assists today for easy dunks to yoyo and Serb, and another sweet pass that wasn't converted. He's a good point forward when we are in the half-court, but if we face a team that presses he should be our 3rd ballhandler, not second.

The problem is any time he drives, or needs to reach in his backpack to pull out over-the-top athleticism that a D1 athlete should have...it doesn't end well. He has the athleticism of a golfer...which is pure persistence and a wonderful desire to practice practice practice. Hats off to him, kid works hard.

I am of the belief the #1 reason they start him and give so much time is his defense. His shooting from the 3 and his FT's are only a bonus. The kid does a bang-up job on "D". He's deceptively good in this area of his game.

I used to worry about Kent's lack of athleticism vs. teams with big/quick guards like Hofstra but I think if we're being fair about it he plays good defense against teams like that as well- his length, knowledge of where to be on the court, and effort makes up for it. The only thing that worries me about him are the plays where guys out muscle him on offense or defense and rip the ball away from him to get easy baskets. That and being too timid at times on offense but you can see that he has gotten stronger physically.
I think the way that they have been mixing up defenses and playing Kent and Brown at the same time I'm more comfortable with the current rotation on both sides of the ball than I have been in the past.
