Bryan Schor deserves all the credit in the world for how he played after replacing Vad Lee. He has much to improve on, but he has talent and showed a tremendous amount of composure in key moments.

With that being said, he is going to have to earn the job. I truly believe that Withers will bring in a transfer QB to compete for the job. My guess:

Either schor can't throw the deep ball or our staff was afraid to with him -
Without that part of the game we are easier to game plan against -
Got to fix that one way or another in the off season .

He will absolutely be recruiting a transfer QB.
Schor filled in well for a backup, but he isn't a championship quality QB.
If nothing else, Withers needs competition at the position to raise the level of play.

It is the most important position on the field and JMU is extremely light right now.
Don't bother mentioning the freshmen QB's who will sign in February. They will not see the field for at least 2 years.

Not that I think Schor is the answer but the other side of the ball needs a complete overhaul if there are any aspirations of a Championship.

The CAA is not where it used to be. Any realistic championship aspirations anytime in the next 1-2 years should just be at the CAA level barring Cardale Jones showing up on campus.

You bring a QB transfer in and we probably lose Schor as a transfer, like Birdsong. It would be tough to go back to the bench once you have started. Plus what kind of message are you sending Schor by bringing in a transfer? I think Schor will be fine with another spring under his belt. He has the physical tools to be a successful QB at the FCS level, he just need to improve his reads and decision making, which hopefully would come with more reps.

His girlfriend goes to JMU and she told me that he said if he's not starting at UNC by sophomore year he is going to come here. Obviously I don't know how true that is but she said it, and he also seems to be permanently behind Mitch Trubisky on the depth chart... so we'll see

Wow, the u of r fan has a great team in the playoffs that just crushed w&m and you don't believe the CAA should have championship aspirations?

Also, there is a chance Michael Birdsong could be back in a JMU uniform next year. Idk if he has a relationship with EW, but he is transferring from Marshall 100% and his dad recently said that he is coming back here. I don't think he's made up his mind but he loved it here and we could use him

Would be surprising to see given EW brought in VL before a single practice and the whole transfer restriction debacle that EW placed on Birdsong.
