That's generous. Frankly, I thought it would be upwards of two TD's.

The computers are a lot more staid about evaluating teams than fans are.

Computers thought App would beat us by 2 TD, and Georgia Southern would beat Georgia State by 4 TD's

Vegas lines are very misunderstood.

Lines aren't predictions of the outcome of the game, lines are created to get equal betting on both sides and they slide to help make sure they do.

App for some reasons and tended to open high each week, the lines trend down by game time and were 6-6 vs the spread.

Excellent site for those they participate: http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-foot...hian-state

After watching some film on BG Our coaches are very impressed. We will have to play a very good game and our offense has to show up big for us to win

Everyone needs to show up to win this game. The QB makes quick reads in this offense, so it will not be essential to bring more bodies for pressure.

From a coaching perspective, I'd play more 3-5-3 defense because of their read option, the willingness of the QB to move out of the pocket or run, and their inability to run the ball between the tackles. The QB is accurate, but doesn't have a gun for an arm. The RB is shifty and has home run threat speed, but goes down easily when touched. Similar player to your typical 3rd down back in NFL. Southern will not simply stop this offense because our strength isn't pass defense. The best case scenario for GASOU is to limit their offense with long sustained drives and prevent red zone score TD's. Hopefully by the end of the day their PK attempts 6 FG's.

On offense, Southern needs to play its game. Not that pitiful display they showcased vs teams like WVU. Still can't believe we were shut out!!!

I supported this team through the horrid Van Gorder year, the mediocre Hatcher years and I will continue to support it. This year was a good year at 8-4. It was not a great year but a good year. 3 beatdown losses certainly hurt, especially when 2 of them were delivered by conference foes, but many fan bases in this conference and others were do anything for an 8-4 year. I am glad we are going to our first bowl game and I would be very surprised if you don't see a different GS team in Mobile than the one we saw yesterday.

The reality is with our offense as it is we just can't fall behind by 2 touchdowns plus. The chances of a comeback given that are not very high. I have said it all year but we MUST get better at throwing the ball. We don't have to throw it 30 times a game but we desparately need to be efficient throwing it 12-18 times a game. This year our passing game went backward. We were a better throwing team last year with better receivers and because of that last year's team was a better team than this year's version. On defense I would argue we were better this year but the defense will not stop teams forever. In our losses we just didn't score enough.

App. fans are very similar to us however. If you want go back and look at their board 3-4 games into last year and they were calling for Satterfield's head. Even after their loss at home to Ark. St. this year there was a sentiment on their board that the coaches were awful.

Only a few morons were calling for Satterfield's head and they were mainly on the MMB and AppFan boards. I dropped off those sites after the 3 Peat brought out tons of bandwagon fans low on intelligence and full of smack talk. It truly is the lunatic fringe. Too bad because it used to be a group of guys who invested a lot in the program and showed a lot of common sense. Just a handful of those guys left. The conversation is a lot more respectful and insightful on pay sites 24-7 and Scout.
