Games like that one are the reason I quit betting on football games.

Those two GSUs were already tagged as "rivals" by virtue of being in the same state, but this game actually helps the Sun Belt and GSU and GSU a lot by adding some real mojo to the rivalry. State beat Southern down in Statesboro in front of a majority Southern home crowd. Games like that go a long way toward establishing a competitive rivalry series with an opponent. The relatively close drive (GA is the biggest state east of the Mississippi, so it's still a good 3 1/2 hour drive between Atlanta and Statesboro) also should help. Congratulations for both schools in their formative FBS seasons.

Well, GSU has historically been a very strong football program. And GSU not having much football history, I can understand why you thought GSU wouldn't have been able to beat GSU. If GSU can go on the road next season and beat GSU, then GSU will have gained some real solid status as a competitive football team at GSU's expense, of course. One must wonder what the future is for GSU, and how this affects GSU. Maybe GSU's fanbase will one day rival GSU's, but who really knows what GSU will do. Do You?

*PS, I enjoyed typing that!

Georgia State was an entirely different team from Mid October on. Georgia Southern walked into the game believing they had already won, and things happened.

I laughly profusely today when I saw that score merely because the Georgia Southern fans have been brutal on the Internet to GaSt as they struggled to get their program started.

I bet that most people that saw that final score thought that the scores were erroneously reversed. Enough people confuses Ga Southern with Ga State as is.

true. most would think it reversed.

except me. i called the ga state win over a month ago. i never saw even ONE of their own fans call it win even this week.

i can't imagine how many hangovers are going on in statesboro this morning. because losing to ga state AT HOME surely drove many to the bottle last night. and drove them hard.

and it tickled me pink when i saw the score. i thought ga state was going to beat them but they skull-drug them. couldn't happen to a nicer internet fan base

New Orleans - Arkansas State
Go Daddy - Appalachian State
Camellia - Georgia Southern
Cure - Georgia State
(yes, that GState. They beat GSouthern to get to 6-6 today)

If USA beats App tonight Camelia might just take USA and that would shuffle a few games with one looking to take a back up slot.

Wrong board noob

That's not very friendly. Posts about ALL bowl games were invited. Besides, this is a public forum.

I double checked the score using a different site.

Who you got as your opponent? I loved this H/H series that saw us come out 1-1 with the visiting team winning each game. I'll be pulling for the Golden Eagles.

I think the CUSA teams match up well so far. We may be able to win all of them. I wonder who's in HOD against USM.

Hey, Panama, you know I have love for your school. Just havin' some fun with acronyms. But I do see your point.
