That day was the best and the worst.

My elation turned to nuclear meltdown that evening after Texas was gifted a win from the cheating officials.

What a wonderful drive back after freezing our arses off.

It seems so long ago when we had a coach that never quit.

You must be remembering it wrong Doss....according to Tubs there is a culture of accepting losses here and has been for a while now.

Is there truly a need to bash Tubs in every thread?

I was quoting Tuberville...how is that bashing? Or, is it, you see the quote of Tuberville and realize the absurdity of what he said?

Perhaps Tubs has absolutely nothing to do with a game that occurred 6 years ago.

Loved the Kelly years. But didn't he quit on us before our most important bowl game ever.

Its a freaking joke around here nowadays. Its the same people each time too. Its like, no one is happy with tubs, we are all pretty much in agreement on that, but b!tching about it in EVERY thread ISNT going to get rid of him sooner. We got one more year and nothing is going to change that, chill out.

As for the game 6 years ago. I couldn't make the trip, but i still remember exactly where i was. I still remember laughing at the crying Pitt players in the tunnel. Ahhh good times.

As for the subject - unforgettable 03-cloud9 I don't know if I am in the minority or not, but always liked Millen's commentary. He nailed that play from the beginning.

Yep

Also wouldn't be nice if BK would acknowledge he coached here like Tubs does for Auburn?

On rewatch (since I was at the game and missed the announcers live), Millen nails a lot during that broadcast. On the two point conversion to Gilyard he notes that the middle of the field is open presnap. I was always fine with Millen, and during that broadcast he got to work with the best play by play guy in the business.

I have the framed front page of the Pittsburgh newspaper from the day after. Highlight for this lifelong UC road tripper.

We are way farther away from that level than just 6 years as long as this is the staff we are forced to continue to deal with. Tubby would have coached that game into a 30 point loss.

Obviously not, the obsession has to seep into every thread.

With Tubs it would have been a meaningless loss with a record coming in of 5-6

This is great. You honestly can't stop yourself at this point can you?

I can. But I probably won't. Hell, I never complained about Minter much - at least he was grinding.

I'm being serious when I say I believe Tubby's style would have turned that Pitt game into a 30 point loss.

RE: Happy 6th Anniversary...
The drive in took me over 4 hours due to the snow and ice. Cars were in the ditch and no cops or tow trucks were in sight. The freeway closed for a bit for one particularly bad crash. We got there just before kickoff so we were hunting for parking. A Pitt fan walks up and asks us if we want a free parking pass.....lot A1. Right next to the stadium. So when we got to our seats the game had just started and we missed nothing. Great day.

When Pitt missed the extra point I put on a high pitched voice and said, "Ohhhhhhhh.....there's gonna be some drama!" and everyone had a good giggle.
