I think you are correct. He was listed in the 2 deeps, but looked for him, and never saw him on the sidelines.

Between Huff's missed blocked that killed Graham and his fumble last night, I think it's pretty self explanatory why he hasn't seen the field more. A ton of talent, but you need to do the little things well to play.

If you're picking a goat for the last two games, 23 is probably #1 on the list.

We need to recruit better 5th-string QBs that don't look like kickers :)

A RB getting 2 yards per carry doesn't help the cause either. Neither does a center whose bad snaps every freaking game cause turnovers and kill drives.

Huff obviously has the talent, but seems to lack the drive and work ethic. If Huff does not get his act together he will drop on the dept chart behind the 2 freshman (D.J. Brown and Marcus Jones) as well as Tommy Mister (if he will be a RB and not in the QB picture). Actually, if Huff does not get his act together that may be the best thing for us!

Huff has to change, by that I mean either be the player you can be or find a place where you can play and maybe develop (transfer). The worse guy on the team is the player LOADED with talent and does not play close to that level.

Believe me I have been a HUGE supporter of Huff and wish him the best and feel he has NFL potential, but be the player you can be or move on.

Huff kind of short-arming that one pass because he heard footsteps did not look great either. Fiedler did throw to the wrong option though

RE: Quick Postgame Thoughts
The offense was a mess in the MACC. Penalties, dropped passes, no holes for RBs, RBs who can't break tackles, RB who can't line up correctly, a fumble and three interceptions... even with a frosh walk-on QB, I expected better. Any help from the offense, our defense would have played better and it should have been a barnburner. Just a horrible trend this year. Too many games where our offense was non existent and basically sabotaged our chances to win. Hopefully this will not continue in the bowl game or next year...

-We just didn't have the horses to compete tonight. It would have been nice to have Hare or Graham, Tommylee and Corey Thomas but that was essentially the situation BGSU was in last year so I don't think they're feeling too sorry for us. Also, nobody has had more good fortune than us over the past several years.

-We needed to play a perfect game in order to hang around but unfortunately had too many dropped passes, bad snaps, etc. We had a TD by Deucee in the first half if we just get the handoff but the snap was late, not sure if that was on Ness or Fiedler. Huff's fumble was big too although I'm sure Mofo will explain to us how that was Carey and/or Bob Cole's fault. I love Huff but can't resist tweaking Mofo who complains about everything.

-It was not lost on BGSU that we were depleted on the D-line. We saw tonight how important Corey Thomas is. Also I don't recall seeing a lot of Mario Jones or Ruben Dunbar and Mosely has been MIA for awhile. We were going with Compton and Chambers at tackle quite a bit in the second half and that is not our best by a long shot.

-Even with all the rushing yardage our defense did pretty well. If you told me we would hold BGSU to 34 points I would say we had a good chance to win the game. BGSU ran something like 60 plays in the FIRST HALF due to lack of anything from our offense and we still hung around.

-Time to nitpick the playcalling. It took the coaches too long to figure out that there was no way Bouagnon was going to get yards on first down, or any down really. BGSU had everybody in the box. We needed more Huff and quick throws early in the game. It looked like they had Fiedler on the Ryan Morris plan until we were already behind by 21 points. Also there was a fourth down in the second half where Deucee came in motion and we fed him right into the pile between the tackles. Not sure what the theory was there.

-Fiedler did pretty well all things considered. I'm sure he's killing himself right now because some of his mistakes were just lack of recognition which will come with playing time. He had Brescacin open for a TD on the one he underthrew for a pick. Another time the announcers pointed out that he had two guys wide open for a probable TD and threw between them. He probably changed his mind at the last second there. I like what he's made of. Fiedler has a chance to be pretty good.

-Shawun Freakin' Lurry. He would have had two picks if not for the good defensive play by Deiter.

-Kenny G is an awesome player but he really needs to work on his blocking. We could have gotten a lot more out of a few plays with any kind of a block from him.

-The bowl game could be ugly for the same reasons we saw tonight but our team should be really good next year. We will certainly have great QB depth!

This. I think we are going to get our azzez handed to us vs. Boise. 03-weeping

RE: Quick Postgame Thoughts
At least this time Fiedler will have a game under his belt, and a couple more weeks to get on the same page as his WRs, which should help. He seems to have the arm, and is mobile enough to run. But he better not get hurt.

Let's just do what Baylor did with their WR that almost pulled a huge comeback.

RE: Quick Postgame Thoughts
I think Cole gave Fielder chances. If his primary was covered he put his head down to soon. No pocket presence. Often slid to contact with his head down. Needs to feel the pressure better, slide with the pocket, keep his head up and go through his progressions faster. He showed a lot of heart and has a decent arm, but slow decision making and rushing inaccurate throws will hurt his chances for playing time when competition comes back. People were upset about burning his red shirt, but in all honesty, this may be the only playing time he sees in his whole Huskie career. I haven't see enough to warrant putting him on scholarship. Clearly we need to offer more QBs in the next coming seasons.

This. He played like a true fresh walk-on QB! We shouldn't be mad at him, it is what it is. We also shouldn't be terribly mad at the offensive play calling, there's not much you can do with that in that game!

Bingo. He and the offensive staff did the best they could with what they had, which unfortunately was nowhere near enough. Beating BG with Hare or Graham would have been a tall order, but it could have been done. Beating them with Fiedler would have required more mistakes by BG (and Johnson did make a couple). It also would have required BG to get greedy and try to go downfield a ton like they usually like to do (anyone remember about 500 incomplete deep balls by them a year ago?). Instead, they stayed patient, took what we were giving them, and bled us to death. That's what a good team does and is the way we usually beat teams.

I thought our gameplan was sound. The offense just couldn't execute much at all. The defense played pretty well even though they gave up a lot of yards. They just were on the field way too much because the offense couldn't string any first downs together. You give the league MVP 90 plays against your defense, and he's going to make you pay. That said, they were still held under their season average.

The best opportunity to make the game more competitive was lost when Fiedler and Ducee mishandled the handoff on the jet on 4th down early in the game. There was nobody out there after the formation shift and block-down. That was a TD. Get in the end zone there and you don't allow BG to be comfortable. Maybe then they get impatient and we start to see the 4-5 turnovers that we probably needed to see to have a shot.

Yep, that would have been a walk in TD
