Yeah, don't see Taggart getting the job. If he wins next year like this year, then I could see many going after him. He's making a statement to the free world though. He's open to courting.

Doesn't annoy me whatsoever. Is the way things are done now a days, remember he was about to be fired after starting 1-3? Doubt USC takes him but if he does I think we would promote our DC to head coach. More likely he will get an extension and pay hike at USF.

When he does leave he would have left USF in a better place than when he arrived

This could be the first time a coach is hired away and both fan bases fly into a rage.

Clock management issues
Cant hire worth a crap
Couldn't win a CUSA championship with Carden and against a horrible conference slate
Defense was horrible

Its just how the game is played, at all levels.
Its leverage... Many coaches go on interviews because it helps their current situation to look desirable to other programs.

All schools are stepping stones unless you're Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas, or Bama.

Can confirm report by @SIPeteThamel that #USF head coach Willie Taggart interviewed for the #SouthCarolina job today.

This is ridiculous. I really like Taggart, but he has 2.5 horrific seasons, and 0.5 great seasons. No one should be interviewing Taggart yet. Next season yes, but not now.

That said, give him a 2-3 year extension if he wins the bowl game, so this does not hurt recruiting and keep the ball rolling.

I'm sure it didn't start well for Taggart at first, but he has a good thing going at USF now... Hope he's contract is looked into and its rewarded soon.

SEC Network just announced Muschamp to South Carolina. Not completely done, but expected any time now. Heard Finebaum say it about 30 minutes ago.
