SEC Bowl Games
As a TN fan, I'm pretty confident my team is going:
Music City vs. Penn State
Belk vs. Duke
Outback vs. Northwestern

But I'm curious what others are thinking.

(Playoff/Peach = Alabama)
(Sugar = Ole Miss/Florida)
Citrus = Ole Miss/Florida (school also looking at Georgia, LSU)
Music City = Georgia, Texas A&M and TN according their site
Birmingham = Auburn presumably

I feel like its a huge game of Sudoku - who can go where, who played where last year?

Best guess:
Texas = LSU
Liberty = Arkansas
Gator = Georgia
Music City = Texas A&M
Outback = TN
Belk = Miss St.

But that doesn't seem quite right.

I keep reading rumors that the Liberty Bowl has Arkansas and Tennessee as its top two SEC preferences, but the powers that be at Arkansas are looking at the Music City Bowl or the one in Tampa.

If Arkansas wants the music city over the liberty then this probably makes the most fan base happy.

This would be interesting match-up. Assuming that Bobby would still be the coach by the time the bowl game is played.

Lol, do you see anyone paying $10 million to get him? It would give you a chance to get some payback.

But seriously, it would be the first ever football meeting between the two. Would be an interesting matchup.

Oh no, Think that man has burnt so many bridges that everyday he should wake up and thank every Louisville fan he meets.

I wouldn't mind a playing Louisville. We play Michigan in a few years, but I'd rather have played a neutral site series in St. Louis or something.

You got an easier draw. Arkansas matched up with Louisville very very well. A&M will be more like playing yourself.

Arkansas would have been a first meeting for the Cards while they have played A&M 3 times, 1992, 93 & 94. The first two in College Station, the Aggies are 3-0. I admit that I don't know enough about either team this season to come up a pregame analysis. I am however looking forward to the Cards getting an opportunity to get their first W against the Aggies. One of my favorite things about bowls is getting to play teams that you don't normally get to play.

Your O line was built to pass block, and their techniques are option designed. Arkansas's defensive front is massive. They are huge and fast. Throwing over them is difficult because of height and their athleticism. It's difficult to see over the middle downfield. That advantage would have been to the Hogs.

The only thing bigger than the Arkansas D line is the Arkansas O line. Once their QB gained the confidence to throw stacking the line was no longer an option. Their receivers are fast. So the typical game is that they run the ball for close to 6 minutes of clock and score. You stack the line and they score over the top in 2 minutes. You go 3 and out twice a half and you lose.

With A&M they have no defense that is discernible. Don't turn the ball over and you have a good chance to win. Turn it over twice and you probably won't win unless they do the same. They pass block well, and can run the ball from all backfield positions. Their tight end is sure handed and will kill you in the Red Zone.

You have a much better chance of outscoring A&M than you have of beating Arkansas.

Thanks for the analysis. The Cards OL has struggled all year with blocking & by that it sounds like they would have had trouble with Arkansas. Jackson would have probably spent the whole game scrambling. Our secondary tends to disappear occasionally which would have given the he Hogs a chance to strike. I would rather see a running team since they would go up against the strength of our D, the front 7. A&M sounds like the better matchup, thanks.
